They should have released this August 29, 2007

Warner Bros. have secured North American rights for Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which put it on the fast track to begin filming early next year. Variety is reporting that it will likely be part one of a second Terminator trilogy. These movies will take place after the moderately entertaining events of Terminator 3 and could feature an Ahnuld cameo. Warner's The Sarah Connor Chronicles is also expected to debut early next year on Fox, which will take place after the awesome events of T2. Some people are groaning at this news, but I can't get enough Terminator. It might be my favorite movie-based franchise, ahead of Alien, Star Wars, and The Matrix. The movies are great, great, and good; the comics have been mostly good (Robocop vs. Terminator is one of the all time crossovers); and the video games are mostly bad but there are a few fun titles (T2 and Robocop vs. Terminator).
